XBRLit utilizes the combined resources of Automated Filing Services Inc. in Vancouver and TNT Filings Inc. in Toronto. XBRLit’s associated companies have completed over 13,000 EDGAR filings and are members of XBRL Canada. All XBRL submissions to date under the SEDAR voluntary program were completed by our parent companies.

Wasim Thaha

Wasim is a founder of TNT Filings Inc. and has been developing XBRL related tools and taxonomies over the past three years. He participated in the development of the Canadian GAAP taxonomy and is the current Chairman of XBRL Canada.

Craig Smith, BSc, Chartered Accountant

Craig is a qualified accountant and founder of Automated Filing Services Inc. He has more than 30 years accounting experience for private and public companies. Craig currently provides consulting services on compliance for public companies.

Andrew Danneffel, BBA

Andrew is a principal of Automated Filing Services Inc. and has managed the company's SEC EDGAR filing department — currently the largest in Canada — since 2002.

 

SEC Announces XBRL Mandate
December 18, 2008
The Securities and Exchange Commission has voted to require public companies and mutual funds to use interactive data for financial information. The largest companies who file using U.S. GAAP with a public float above $5 billion will be required to provide interactive data reports starting with their first quarterly report for fiscal periods ending on or after June 15, 2009.
